Let's Get Started

Hi all,

Inspired by the wonderful job that Nicole and Jesse did for Poppie's eulogy, I have an idea for a terrific present that we can give to each other this year. Arianne has set up a blog for all of us to share memories of Ma, Nana & Poppie or the "stories" (or childhood memories) the three of them may have told us about their past.

Format does not matter. It could be their signature phrases, a series of one liners, a paragraph or full blown essay, depending on the originator and whoever may add their 2 cents to it.
The plan is to play off one another, have fun and honor our memories of a trio who at times has been larger than life. Once we have enough material, Arianne and I will do some magic and everyone will have a copy of the results.

BTW, please feel free to invite a blogger who knew Ma, Nana & Poppie to contribute to our blog. If you're not sure how, send me the name and email and I will make the contact.

Now, two last orders of business:

First, we need a name for this project. We're using "Vellapalooza" as a temporary moniker. Our other Zia suggested "The West First Street Vellas"---hmmm, are there any other titles that may tickle your fancy?

Second, get busy and start writing!
